Château de Jaulny
4 rue du Château, 54470 Jaulny
- Meurthe-et-Moselle
- Grand Est
As early as 1060, the lord and knight Milon de Jaulny was already contemplating the Mad Rupt from the rocky spur where the medieval castle of Jaulny is proudly encamped. The castle belonged to the Jaulnys for centuries until an elder son made an unfortunate exchange of 1/3 of his seigneurial right with the castle of Boucq. He brought the Sage family into the dance with 2 lords for a castle for more than 100 years! It is said that Jeanne des Armoises, true or false Jeanne d'Arc, lived in the castle… come and see her in the portrait room. A cellar on several floors with underground and prison, a princess’s heart, Jean Lamour’s gates… this castle is nothing but mysteries.
