Pedestrian itinerary to discover the fountains, old and contemporary, that make and made the beauty of Guebwiller.

In Guebwiller, this motto is the reality in its simplest expression for more than a decade for the majority of our fountains: the majority dry, some same sackings...
Here is soon a generation that guebwilleroises fountains are simply known as large flower pots.
To rediscover this heritage in perdition that made the beauty, but also the animation and the social link of our squares and modest squares, we propose you a walking tour in the streets of Guebwiller, which will take us from the Parc de la Marseillaise to the end of the Trame verte (along the Lauch).
During our itinerary, we will explore the fountains (both ancient and contemporary) that make and make the beauty of our city.
When we pass them, we will evoke the origins of each.
Duration: about 2h30.

Between 1897 and 1899, the industrial patron Aimé Gros-Schlumberger asked the Parisian landscape architect Edouard André to create a public park that would be "a place of pleasure but also of education and initiation to botany" It combines floral arrangements and several exotic species. The park is still decorated with a Renaissance well and a large fountain, a bandstand and an exeedra bench, a copy of the one where Sarah Bernhardt sat in the room Theodora.
