Attend an exhibition around water, an essential resource for everyone’s life. The water in Metz has a special history, you can discover it.

To obtain drinking water, Metz must draw it from the Moselle, thanks to the springs and wells. The desire to improve its quantity and quality will generate many systems of supply over the centuries. Many buildings in the city are linked to water: water castles, fountains, wash houses, bridges, dikes… By their public utility but also by their embellishment, they are (or have been) part of our architectural heritage. Similarly, the specificities of the trades of the past illustrate our attachment to water.
