Discover an exhibition presenting the experiences of women and men in the region, in order to raise awareness of the stereotypes of certain professions.

The exhibition offers young people, girls and boys, models to encourage them to engage in less feminized or masculinized professional careers.
Presented in the hall of honour of the Grand Jardin castle, the «women of the Vallage» sometimes had to find their place in professional fields considered at their time as «masculine»: sciences (mathematics, physics), business management, economics, politics, notariat, supervision of teams of men.

Even today, stereotypes persist in professional circles and condition both women and men in their career choices. Gender diversity is an important issue. For each and everyone, it is a matter of offering the possibility to choose his profession according to his affinities and skills, apart from preconceived ideas, any brake or constraint.
Since the 1960s, women have occupied more and more jobs in France. If parity progresses, it is still far from being achieved in certain areas.
Exhibition conceived in 2014 by the Académie de Reims and the Regional Delegation for Women’s Rights and Equality, in partnership with the Office National d'Informations sur les Enseignements et les Professions, the Prefecture Champagne-Ardenne and the Information Centre on the Rights of Women and Families.
