A first chapel was built at Robertsau in 1339 by Nicolas Swarber and dedicated to Saint George. The eardrum was preserved at the entrance to the present church. It was inaugurated in 1864\. The organ, made in 1866 by the Stiehr-Mockers Manufacture, is listed as a historical monument.
