The property is an old seigneury. In 1770 Joseph de Pascalis (Lord of the Windeck) built a house in the pure style of the eighteenth century French.

About the location

Domaine du Windeck
51 rue Principale, 67530 Ottrott
  • Bas-Rhin
  • Grand Est
The park covers a former seigneury known as Windeck, acquired in 1834 by the heirs of the De Pascalis family by Colonel Laurent-Atthalin. His son-in-law, Armand Théodore de Dartein, drew up a long-prepared plan for a park in which massive trees, wide meadows, and pieces of water with beautiful perspectives on the house, the village, and Mont Sainte-Odile follow one another.
Léon Renouard de Bussière continued the expansion and development of the 10am English-style garden. This park incorporates ancient elements: the Hoff (prehistoric site), the ruin of the Altleller (twelfth century) and the mansion (eighteenth century). The walk under the cover of tall trees lets us discover exotic subjects and tall trees from America, Asia and Europe.
