The abbey Saint-Martin-js-Aires, from Troy, was based(established) in the IXth century to shelter the relics of Lupus bishop of Troy, become Saint Loup (died in 478), the legendary defender of the city against Attila in Ve century and boss of the city. The miracles which operated were then attributed(awarded) to the saint there and the oratory took its name then, the counts of champagne(Champagne) saw to make their solemn oaths there. The oratory was burnt by the Vikings in 887\. Relics were then transported on a new site inside walls. The monastic community was reformed in 1135 by Bernard de Clairvaux, the abbot and his monks then kissed(embraced) the rule(ruler) of saint Augustin with a dedication to Martin de Tours. She(It) took on this occasion the name of the saint of Tour(Tower,Ballot). In 1415, the abbot sends for the sarcophagus of Maure of Troy and for the bishop Étienne of Givry in extract of relics to give them to the abbey, a pilgrimage take place for this saint in the cure of Sainte-Maure.
It shelters the College of higher education of Design today which proposes two diplomas: a Design bachelor designer Degree level, accessible(approachable) after the Tub(Ferry,High school diploma) and a Design Master's degree Strategy Master degree level, accessible(approachable) after a Degree level. She(It) offers three fields of expertise: Design produces, Design space out, Design visual communication.
