The exhibition is part of the Route des Abbayes, initiated by the department of the Meuse. It presents the contributions of virtual reality to the archaeological knowledge of the Verdun monastery.
It also completes the permanent section of the museum.

The collections of the sacred art museum of Saint-Mihiel consist of ornaments and furniture liturgical, of which the exceptional whole silver the from XIIIth centuries till XXth centuries, and sculptures. A collection of «dressed wax» manifests of abundant of Lorraine production in the XVIIIth century. These refined objects were bound(connected) to devotion and to popular piety.
Thanks to a route(course) at once thematic and chronological, the visitor arrests different forms and functions(offices) of objects, as well as transformations of medieval liturgical practices in the second half of the XXth century.
