Rediscover the site of the old Linchamps stove.

Mr Maxence Pieters, archaeologist, will present the survey excavations carried out in the summer of 2021, detailing the richness of the site.
He will also discuss future projects and the importance of focusing on the proper conservation of the site.

Nowadays, our town has five villages: Linchamps, Sorendal, La Neuville-aux-Haies, Failloue and Les Hautes-Rivières where the town hall is located, the latter village gives its name to the town.
The village of Linchamps had a forge before 1573 (according to the last serious information acquired), a rather important forge. It returned to the king in 1629 at the same time as the Principality of Château-Regnault (exchange with the Duke of Guise) and our villages are part of it. A furnace is then rebuilt on the same site.
