Discover the history of the church’s inauguration, with musical interludes.

This conference on the inauguration of the church in 1969 will be conducted in music, with pieces played on the trumpet and organ of the church, restored in 2014.
Event organized by the French Heritage Service Pays d'art et d'histoire, in order to support the project of restoration of the monument, initiated by the association Les amis de l'Orgue de Fayl-Billot and supported by the town hall and the Heritage Foundation.
Other actions in support of heritage are planned for October, November and December.

The church Notre-Dame-En-Sa-Nativité of Fayl-Billot is built between 1865 and 1870 street of Langres (Big(Great) Street). She(It) succeeds the old(former) prieurale church whose title of parish church she(it) takes. She was offered to her native municipality by Georges Darboy, archbishop of Paris, shot in 1871\. The architect Jean-Henry Barbier not having being held(retained), it is Antoine-Gaëtan Guérinot (Parisian architect raises(brings up) Viollet-le-Duc) and Charles Godard who(which) will accomplish works. The architecture of the building conjugates loans to Romanic, Gothic and Byzantine styles.
Moreover, the old(former) church prieurale Benedictine Notre-Dame, house in the state of chapel street of Perrière. Since the destruction of its nave in 1874, she does not keep(preserve) more than the chorus(choir) and two side chapels of style first Renaissance (fine XVe-at the beginning of the XVIth centuries), the church having been probably built in XIITH - XIIITH centuries. The building is listed(classified) in conformance with(for) historic monuments since 1942.
