Discover the history of stained glass windows of the 16th and 20th centuries and the current restoration project.

Broken by the blast of the bombing in June 1940, the parts of these historical works that remain in the cathedral of Troyes are currently the subject of a restoration project.
The conference, led by Sylvie Coulonval, will also deal with the various stained glass windows offered to the parish during the 20th century.

The church of Saint-Julien l'Hospitalier was built in the 12th century and rebuilt in the 16th century.
Most of the stained glass windows, with the exception of those in the tympanum of Axe Bay, were destroyed during the bombing of Plancy-l'Abbaye on June 13, 1940\. They were executed during the 20th century after this event.
The glass roof of the Coronation of Charles VII at Reims was offered in memory of Lieutenant Lucien Charpentier, who died for France in June 1940\. The Bay of Axe, whose tympanum dates from the sixteenth century, is dedicated to the patron saint of the church: Saint Julien, as well as to Saint Loup and Saint Laurent.
