Restoring contemporary art: issues and ethics
The challenges of contemporary art conservation highlight the importance of preventive conservation.
What new methodological approaches for the conservation and restoration of these works have been imagined? Do they ensure the criteria of authenticity and integrity of works?
Curator-restaurateur since 1986, Claude Wrobel works in the conservation and restoration of old, modern and contemporary paintings. He taught at the Sorbonne Paris and the Sorbonne Abu Dhabi.

Create in 1984, the TAIL COAT(FRAC) Champagne-Ardenne (Regional Collections of Contemporary Art) acts(behaves) in favour of creation and of promotion(class) of contemporary art. Following the example of others TAIL COAT(FRAC) in each of the French regions, he(it) has as vocation the constitution and the distribution(broadcasting) of a collection of works of art contemporary, programme planning(programming) and realisation of temporary exhibitions(exposures), edition(publishing) of catalogues and organisation of awareness-raising activities in contemporary art for the widest possible public. Since 1990, the TAIL COAT(FRAC) Champagne-Ardenne is installed(settled) in Reims in the right(straight) wing of the Old(Former) Middle school(College) of the Jesuits.
