During his mobilization, Lucien Durosoir, French violinist and composer, found refuge in music to survive the horror of war.
He is also a member of a string quartet, created during the First World War, alongside cellist Maurice Maréchal among others. This recital pays tribute to his work and his career. Unpublished: Violinist François Pineau-Benois will play with Lucien Durosoir’s war violin he had on the Battlefield of Verdun, nicknamed «Le Genève».
Accompanied on the piano by Lorène de Ratuld.
The text is written by the daughter-in-law of Lucien Durosoir, Georgie Durosoir, musicologist.
