Théâtre de Saint-Dizier
Place Aristide-Briand, 52100 Saint-Dizier
Inscribed in the supplementary inventory of Historical Monuments, the Saint-Dizier theatre has undergone a profound upgrade and renovation without losing anything of its character of a small Italian theatre. It is part of the style in vogue during the Second Empire, since the construction of the Opera Garnier. Restored in 2007 with its decorations of the 1920s, it has regained its beauty of yesteryear and developed a program of quality at the height of the majesty of the place.
The hall has 334 seats divided between the parterre, the first balcony and the henhouse. The scene includes a loose floor and an orchestra pit. Its exceptional acoustics make it a privileged venue for chamber orchestras, operetta and comic opera.
Masterful and historical works in a place that is equally so, the theatre of Saint-Dizier is definitely a place of excellence!
