The museum is in a part(party) of the old(former) building(ship) of the old(former) abbey Benedictine of the Trinity. The old(former) staircase which led to dormitories is kept(preserved) and establishes(constitutes) the major interest of the reception hall. The maximum of the parts(parties) of the XVIIIth century was kept(preserved) during the renovation of the museum in 1990\. The museum presents on 4 floors of the various collections: motives(mobiles), paintings(paints), earthenwares, archaeology as well as sculptures and drawings of Louis Leygue. The rich and various collections of the museum of Vendôme are presented in a part(party) of the buildings(ships) of the old(former) abbey of the Trinity. In the course of the discovery of rooms, the visitor can admire, from the windows of the North, a splendid view(sight) of the Romanic bell tower and of the Gothic church. The access to first two floors is made by a stone staircase of the XVIIth century which led to the dormitory of the monks. The room of temporary exhibitions(exposures) allows to organise, in a regular way, events(demonstrations) tackling(approaching) history(story), ethnology, fashion A space especially devoted to contemporary art, makes possible every year, a new collision(hanging) devoted to artists of international fame. The permanent collections re-locate Vendôme and its vicinity, both in the geological domain and archaeological. Old(Former) jobs(businesses), sometimes missing, are evoked in the room of ethnology from tools: tanners, glovers, clog makers. In the field of Fine Arts, the museum keeps(preserves) some remarkable rooms(parts,plays): harp of Marie-Antoinette, decoration(set) paints Richelieu's castle, table of the trial of Babeuf. The room devoted to earthenwares reveals important productions of Rouen and Nevers. The sculptor Louis Leygue, price(prize) of Rome in 1931, gave a big(great) quantity of sculptures, medals and drawings, these last presenting by rotation. Educational Service(Department) proposes pedagogic workshops(studios) during school time(weather) and courts(yards) of Visual Arts on Wednesdays.
