The visit is unprecedented since it is proposed on the occasion of a maintenance period where the tower is stopped. The building is only accessible to the public on the occasion of the 2022 European Heritage Days. The tour begins with a short in-room presentation on the operation of a nuclear power plant before discovering the engine room and following the path of the water until it turns into steam in the cooling tower.
The route requires walking and climbing stairs (the equivalent of 5 to 6 floors). The visit is not recommended for people prone to vertigo.
