The castle was mentioned in the 12th century. It was rebuilt at the end of the 15th century, sheltered from flooding and fortified by a terrace with pavilions. Each facade is flanked by a sunken tower at roof level. One of them is accessed through a beautiful door surmounted by a brace and which controls a spiral staircase. The rooms have beautiful French ceilings, Gothic stone fireplaces.
