Museum tour
The military schools of Bourges house, the Museum of Train and Military Crews, belonging to the network of fifteen museums of the Army under the responsibility of the heritage delegation of the Army. Created in 1978 in Tours, he joined Bourges in 2009 at the same time as the Logistics and Train schools. The route of the permanent exhibition of the Train collection was transferred in 2020/ 2021 in a new building more spacious and bright to welcome you in a modern setting. Since its creation in 1807, by the Emperor Napoleon I and until today, the Train has carried out transport and logistics missions for the benefit of the army. Through a dozen rooms, you can discover an eclectic collection of weapons, frescoes, uniforms, medals, models, and other personal objects, illustrating for more than two centuries, the history, traditions and heritage of the Train weapon, responsible for the logistics of the army.
