Built in 1465 on the location of a fortress, the Castle of Jallanges was built by the king Louis XI, to instal(settle) the Mayor de Tours there, its Silver cabinet(Treasurer). The monarch developed a new "fashion" in Touraine, established(constituted) by equipment(casting off) of brick and of stone of tufa, will of ostentation and aesthetic option of refinement. Successively property of Secretary du king, Silver cabinets(Treasurers) of the King and of the queens Charlotte, Claude de France, of the Treasurer of France, he should also be the House of Marie Gaudin, favorite de François 1st, grandmother of Gabrielle d' Estrées celebrate favorite of Henry IV. Established as Châtellenie in 1631, Jallanges keeps(guards) even today its smile of light, with its elegant silhouette, evidence of the good taste of its builders(manufacturers).
