About the location

Pelouses et marais de Roussy
Roussy 36100 Saint-Georges-sur-Arnon

  • Centre-Val de Loire
In an environment of large cereal crops, the Arnon valley cuts the plateau of Champagne, bringing to the region a pleasant landscape diversity. The valley floor is now largely occupied by maize and poplar crops. But there are still islands of nature of the highest interest. Thus, St-Georges-sur-Arnon has on its territory a limestone hill of a dozen hectares dominating a marsh of about twenty hectares. These two natural spaces are known to host remarkable species that give it great ecological interest.

Access
The lawn is accessible from the path that leads to the Roussy farm. A path starting from the last house on the edge of the lake skirts the marsh and joins the foot of the hill at the level of an old mill.
