Various inscriptions engraved in stone date this house from 1549, at the beginning of the reign of Henry II. We know nothing about her builder but it is likely that she represented a secondary residence or a closerie for wealthy owners of Blois. Among its tenants are the poet Jules Supervielle and the youth illustrator Adrienne Ségur
