This hospital built in 1755 was the last realisation of madam de Pompadour for the staff of the domain of Crécy was the last project realised by madam of Pompadour in Crécy. To realise it she buys in 1754 the small castle of Majainville to base(establish) the hospital there. His(Her) architects dissuade him(her) from it using as an excuse the dilapidation of the building(ship). This one is then destroyed and all the materials (beams, freestones) on a ground are transported being on the verge of the municipalities of Hatching and of Saulnières. Not having liquid assets any more, the marchioness sells a part(party) of her jewels to finance operation. The building(ship) consists of a central main building flanked(thrown) by two small wings, the one shelters the chapel. The inside is rather severe: tomettes in six pieces, stone fireplaces of the country of style Louis XV. The garden, adorned in its centre of a circular pond, was intended(designed) for the culture of fruits and vegetables for the residents. He(It) was kept by the sisters of Saint-Paul of Chartres or grey sisters. Intended(Designed) for the poor people of his(its) parishes, he(it) was equivalent at that time to a nursing home, and endowed with the most modern medical equipments in time(period). No "dormitories", but small rooms(chambers) harmed(served) by a central corridor(lane).
