Free visit of the fort of Penthièvre

Free visit of the site of Fort de Penthièvre As such, it is close to a work like the fort of Saint-Père-Marc-en-Poulet on the isthmus of Châteauneuf south of Saint-Malo, and forts or fortified places serving as reduced islands. Access to the fort:
Visitors must accept the necessary security checks.
Up-to-date and valid identification will be required. Anyone without identification will be denied access.
No backpacks at all.
Handbags will be visually checked.
Accounting for entries.
No smoking.
Young children must be held by their parents.

Access
It is the first building at the very entrance of the Presqu'île. It has been listed as a historic monument since 1933 and is now used as a commando training centre; only outdoor spaces are accessible.
