About the location

Chapelle de Brouël, Notre-Dame-de-Mille-Secours
Brouël, 56190, Ambon
  • Morbihan
  • Bretagne
The chapel Notre Dame de Mille Secours, known as "Chapelle de Brouël", dates from the sixteenth century. Located west of the village of Ambon, the chapel is built on a hill that dominates the old salt marshes of Brouël, the port of Sablec, port of Ambon where the coasters came to load salt and grains and unload the wine of Bordeaux. The chapel is mentioned in a document of 1580, date that confirms the "16th century" of its western facade inscribed on the additional list of Historical Monuments since 1925.
