The Maison-Musée du Pouldu is a historical and documented reconstruction of the «Buvette de la Plage», both a symbol of the presence of Paul Gauguin in Finistère and a witness to a new artistic trend: synthesis. This stop on image of Marie Henry’s inn in 1890 is a testimony of life at the Pouldu at the end of the 19th century. The reconstruction makes it possible to understand what an inn is at this time and to evoke the particular destiny of a woman.
