The cistercienne abbey of Relecq was based(established) on July 30th, 1132 by seven monks resulting(coming) from the abbey of Bégar. The current church dates for the most part of this time(period), but it underwent reorganisations: drilling of bays(berries) in collateral north and in the side chapels of the chorus(choir) in the 13th century, drilling of bays(berries) in collateral south, repair of the pine nuts(cogs) of the same collateral and of the chorus(choir) at the end of the 15th century, and finally, demolition of first two spans of the nave and reconstruction of the western side in 1785\. The abbey buildings(ships) of the 17th century do not remain(subsist) any more than in the state of vestiges.
