Revisiting Tchaikovsky’s legendary Swan Lake ballet solo, here is the crazy bet made by the Ukrainian choreographer Olga Dukhovnaya. With joy, energy, humour and virtuosity, she takes us to this impossible challenge: to embody alone this romantic ballet in a dance of today. On an electronic score by the Russian composer Anton Svetlichny, Olga Dukhovnaya radically decomposes and recomposes the figures of Swan Lake, using tensions, distortions, cannons and infinitely repeated loops. A musical and choreographic «recycling» that resonates with the political and historical dimension of this mythical ballet in the former Eastern Pays.
