It took the tenacity of a man such as Napoleon I and the perseverance of his nephew Napoleon III to drive the creation of a new city in the city of Pontivy in a century. Through the checkered streets, the guides of the tourist office invite you to discover what was "Napoleonville" through its square of arms, its majestic buildings such as the barracks, the courthouse, the town hall-sub-prefecture and the imperial church of Saint Joseph. Come and decipher Napoleon’s great projects for Pontivy throughout the 19th century.
