This access to the written heritage of Pontarlier and partly to that of the Haut-Doubs allows visitors to understand the missions of the archives and to see how the sources of history are constituted. During the visit, the public discovers the sorting room and the archives. Valuable and exceptional documents are presented: 14th century parchments, 16th century parish registers, posters, etc.
