The priory is part of the Clunisian sites, and is registered to the Historical Monuments since 1988\. The recently restored wall paintings of the chapel are remarkable.
In the middle of the 8th century, Ermenora gave the alleu de Ruffey to the Abbey of Saint-Bénigne de Dijon. Religious founded a priory there and built a chapel dedicated to St.Christopher which served as a parish church until the building of the current church dedicated to St. In the 10th century, the abbey of Saint-Marcel-lès-Chalon, of the order of Cluny, usurped the property of the priory which was confirmed to him in the 11th century. Destroyed in the fourteenth century, it is rebuilt in the fifteenth. In 1663, the priory, without mark of conventuality, is said rural establishment of Cluny. Acquired during the Revolution by Jean-Baptiste Lhomme, the priory became a farm and well abused. Bought by its current owners, it is restored, including the chapel decorated with beautiful frescoes.
