Residence of the dukes of Württemberg for four centuries, the castle now houses historical collections: antique furniture, goldsmiths' pieces, weapons, paintings and objects from the 15th century to the end of the 18th century reveal the daily life of this place full of history and its architectural evolution. On Saturday and Sunday, regular visits departures throughout the day.

This fortress, erected on a rocky promontory at the confluence of the Lizaine and the Allan, is attested around 985\. Residence of the counts since the eleventh century, it is the capital of the country of Montbéliard, integral part of the Germanic empire. In 1397, she returned by marriage to the Württemberg family who kept her until 1793\. Today, the museum of the castle houses collections of natural sciences, archaeology, history and fine arts, and seeks to retrace the history of the country of Montbéliard. Numerous exhibitions are developed there, thus valuing these different areas.
