Locals, friends, visitors, you can not only admire the architecture of this typical Romanesque church, but also access:
- the photo exhibition concerning the Church of Saint Anthony,
- the exhibition of a pictorial reproduction of the Crucifix (17th century) ancient treasure of the church - which Jean-Claude Sylvain, impressionist and figurative painter, painted on wood according to ancient techniques and which was offered to the Association,
- "LE MOINE ASSIS" polychrome wooden sculpture - classified in the Historical Monuments since 1913 - treasure of the church St Antoine.
- The church bell dated 1514 and classified on May 12, 1936 at the Historical Monuments
Free visit of the church :
A booklet of photos of the church through time, a booklet on its history and a poster 40x60 cm of the old church will also be available at the entrance.
A glass of friendship will be offered by the Association and the Commune from 18:30 -
The association "Chevannes dans le Temps" and the municipality of Billy-Chevannes organize the opening of the doors of the Church Saint Antoine on Sunday, September 18, 2022 from 10:00 to 12:30 and 14:00 to 18:30.
Located in the village of Chevannes, this listed Historical Monument, from the 11th and 12th centuries, has crossed them to the rhythm of the history and life of its inhabitants and despite the vicissitudes of time and customs, it remains proud and standing.
