The Governor’s Hotel, built in 1726, was originally the garrison’s arsenal, designed by Jacques Philippe Eléonore Mareschal, an engineer and chief architect in Belfort since 1722. Come and discover its history and its backstage. Purchased by the City after the military’s departure the works were carried out in accordance with the DRAC and allowed to preserve the remarkable elements, while bringing functionality to the place. It is now home to the Municipal Police, the Field Guards, the Departmental Tourism Committee and a postal agency.
