Since 1885, metal engraving is a specialty of the municipality of Gergy. Today, only two companies, OAG and RMGI, continue this activity, in a cradle of about 50 jobs. Recently created, the association Musée de la Gravure Industrielle à Gergy proposes to collect and transmit the memory of this profession. The workshop will allow everyone to understand the principle of engraving. After a short explanation, participants will be able to make an intaglio engraving, from drawing to printing, including inking.
