Free admission. The association will be present in room Arcade 1\. Only the room of tin will be opened, other buildings(ships) (pharmacy, chapel, community of the sisters) currently closed because of works.

The Abigaïl Mathieu association, which works at promotion(valuation) and protection of the heritage of the old(former) hospital, will be present in room Arcade 1, where are exposed(explained) of the models which explain the evolution of the site. The project leader(representative) furniture heritage of the city will answer questions in the room of tin. Members will present their actions(shares), and in particular the future public subscription to restore the room of tin.

The creation of a hospital on St. Lawrence Island dates back to the 16th century. The building of the community of sisters, along the Saône, recognizable by its stepped gable, bears witness to this period. Today, one can discover a part of the apartments of the Sisters of Saint Martha, in charge of the reception of the sick for several centuries. Over time, the hospital has been enriched with numerous buildings responding to the evolution of medicine and patient care. One can admire the eighteenth century pharmacy housing nearly 400 drawers. The dome at the crossroads of four sick rooms was built in the 1770s. The 19th-century chapel is decorated with sixteenth-century stained glass windows that come from the first sick room built in the Renaissance. The pewter room with the hospital dishes and the refectory of the sisters (1720), which retains its original layout and in particular its woodwork classified in rocaille style, are also visible.
