Regional Council of Burgundy-Franche-Comté - Dijon site
The Regional Council of Burgundy-Franche-Comté still occupies the building built to accommodate it between 1978 and 1980.
The history of its construction testifies to the challenges of the architecture of the administration, but also to the constraints encountered by new constructions within heritage sites, given its situation on the edge of the Dijon protected area. The architects Roger-Martin Barade and François Ruault managed to create an imposing building, representative of a period of transition between the 1970s and 1980s.
The work of three artists - Denis Morog for the moulded concrete panels in the hall, Pierre Sabatier for the Salle des Assemblées and Michel Boyer for the furniture - attest to the attention paid to interior design, designed as an added value to affirm the importance of the young institution.
An animation to discover the new heritage portal of the Region will also be proposed (www.patrimoine.bourgognefranchecomte.fr).
