The Musée des Maisons Comtoises consists of 35 buildings from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries, from all over the Franche-Comté: farms, workshops, oven, chapel… Through their reconstruction, these buildings have rediscovered a new life and a new meaning for the pleasure of young and old. They represent the main types of Franche-Comté rural architecture, specific to the different terroirs. Each of them bears witness to this unique link between a society and its environment. The Musée des Maisons Comtoises is an open-air museum located in a 15 ha park. Theme gardens: historical garden, forgotten vegetable garden, simple gardens, textile and tinctorial plant garden, mountain vegetable garden, potato garden. All plants are grown according to the principles of organic farming. A charming landscaped environment: pond, undergrowth, trails, orchard, hedges make it a place of walk and relaxation.
