Guided tours of the ARC-Nucléart Laboratory
ARC-Nucléart is a workshop for the conservation and restoration of archaeological and historical objects in organic materials (wood, basketry, ropes, leathers, ...).
Here, science, history and art come together; hundreds of years old objects rub shoulders with 21st-century technologies; from consolidation treatment to restoration and physico-physical analysischemical studies, polychrome studies or disinfestation for polychrome wooden objects...
A multidisciplinary team composed of engineers and technicians in chemistry, biology, entomology, physico-chemistry and nuclear physics, but also curator, conservator-restorers, curator of collections, photographer, mechanic, work together for our heritage. You can come and meet us at the European Heritage Days on Saturday 17 September 2022. 3 slots of 1h30 are proposed at 9.30am, 1pm and 3.30pm. Attention obligatory prior registrations.
ARC-Nucleart is located on the CEA/Grenoble website, minors will not be accepted (even accompanied).
