Whether they are traditional masonry, concrete, iron, suspension bridges or viaducts, all are works of art that are part of the built heritage. Discover through this exhibition a dozen bridges and works of art presented from contemporary photographs by Pierre Vallet, lithographs from the Paul Payot collection held by the Departmental Council and plans from the Departmental Archives. These illustrations are accompanied by comments on the history and environment of these works while placing them in the context of the emergence of civil engineering.
