Commented visit of the exhibition of the Hollow of Hell in the gardens of the sub-prefecture
with Sophie Auger-Grappin, curator and director of the art centre
Three contemporary works of art are displayed in the gardens and the Thiers sub-prefecture basin, open for the first time to the public on the occasion of the 2022 European Heritage Days. The artist Camille Grosperrin presents two zoomorphic ceramic sculptures hosting a fire, while Sarah Laaroussi and Matteo Magnant display a dozen large erect sticks that evoke catapults or flags and Marjolaine Turpin an installation entitled Lemna minor, which evokes the floating vegetation of stagnant waters, by small coloured glass lenses.
