Since 1850, the glovery has been installed in Entremonts. Grenoble was one of the capitals of glovery after the invention by the Grenoble glover, Xavier Jouvin in 1834, of a die-cutter, the iron hand. The forms arrived at the Entremonts and the gloves sewed them at home before returning them to the city.
