In 1997, the association AGONDA (Friends of the Great Organs of Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption) and the city took to heart the project of reconstruction of the Great Organs of Evian. Installed inside the church of Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption, their renovation was entrusted to the organ builder Pascal Quoirin, currently one of the best French factors.
An organ of French aesthetics (43 games, 3 keyboards of 61 notes) resonates today in the heart of the church. The reconstruction of these organs gave birth to an organ class under the aegis of Jean-François Vaucher (professor at the Lausanne Conservatory).

Built in the second half of the 13th century, under the reign of Count Peter II of Savoy, the church belongs to the first Savoyard Gothic art. The building underwent major renovations in the late 14th or early 15th century, followed by several restoration campaigns between the 17th and 20th centuries. The most important date of 1926, the nave is then extended by two bays towards the West. It was on this date that the current portal with triangular pediment of Romano-Bysantin style was created. The semicircular bell tower was surmounted by a high stone spire, which was replaced in 1823 and adorns the current lantern.
