Take the time to stroll along the path along the banks of Dranse to discover the heritage and history of the hamlet of Essert. The imposing sawmill of Villapeyron will reveal the stages of woodworking, an essential resource in the mountains. Guided by the water slurry, you will then go back in time to understand the evolution of the village station. Finally, once you arrive in the shade of the small chapel of Tres-les-Pierres leaning against its immense rock, you can imagine the patient and meticulous work of the slate collectors… without forgetting a small snack before taking the way back!
