In the Alps, the melting of high-altitude ice and snow brings to light archaeological remains that, until then, were preserved in their icebox. This exhibition will present a panorama of 8,000 years of Alpine history, through a selection of representations of glaciers and archaeological objects from prehistory to the industrial era. Discovered at the foot of the glaciers and on the previously frozen passes, these remains of the peaks reveal to us so many secrets about the high mountains that they alarm us about the destruction of this fragile environment.
Duration: 1h30.
Visit led by Laurie Tremblay-Cormier, curator and in charge of archaeological collections.
