In 1930, the architect Albéric Aubert was entrusted with the construction of the Sabourin hospital-sanatorium in Clermont-Ferrand. He built a building based on the principles of functionalism: clarity, simplicity of lines, horizontality and use of modern materials. From 2007 to 2015, the buildings were transformed by the architect-urban planner agency Du Besset-Lyon, to become the École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture.
