On the occasion of the bicentenary of the death of Napoleon Bonaparte, the exhibition presents the beginnings of the modernization of the city under the action of the energetic mayor of the time, Louis-Marie Duhamel, appointed by the Emperor in 1800. Plans and archival documents of the time illustrate the plans for the beautification of the city and the reorganization of traffic routes, and what remains of them today.
