Virtual 3D tour of the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Wimereux.

In Wimereux: with the partnership of the City, within the framework of the Heritage Days, the AEICW federated the local associations for the valorization of the Heritage (civil, religious, military) to invite you to look up at the Viaduct and to look at the construction of the railway track in Wimille, with its station, which was the decisive element in the genesis of the seaside resort of Wimereux (currently classified Remarkable Heritage Site). An independent urbanization of Wimille has been created, with its city center, around its church (currently closed due to restoration)
Among the activities offered at the Salon des Jardins de la Baie Saint-Jean, the AEICW offers you a virtual tour of the Church of the Immaculate Conception of Wimereux, from the AEICW website (see link in the technical specifications appended to this event), and can also be viewed in 3D by a Virtual Reality headset.
The church was scanned in 3D and 360 degrees, before the restoration work began. You will enjoy views like you would never see them on the spot at man’s height.
You can visit the church according to a floor plan in 2D, by level: the Floorplan view thus allows an aerial view of the church.
Or, you can have an overview in «Dollhouse» showing the whole building at one time, like a dollhouse, according to a dynamically modular angle of view.
You can finally move around the church in life-size in “Inside View” mode, as if you were actually physically present, but in reality from home, on your computer or smartphone screen…
Each point of interest allows to be redirected to a historical article and/or description of the AEICW site.
Click on any area of the screen and you will progress to it. Or, follow the guide by choosing the automatic tour by clicking on the “small pedestrian” that will take you into the church…
By putting on your Virtual Reality headset (or the one at the exhibition site), connected to the link indicated, you will go into a virtual reality where you will live a dynamic and truly immersive and realistic virtual tour experience.

With the participation of the company OPAL3D, which works for the promotion, the valorization and the safeguarding of the historical, cultural and artistic heritage, thanks to the new technologies (drone, photogrammetry, 3D scanner, virtual tour D3)

In Wimereux: with the partnership of the City, the Association of Friends of the Church has federated local associations for the enhancement of the Heritage (civil, religious, military) to invite you to look up at the VIADUCT and to look at the construction of the railway track in Wimille, with its STATION, which was the decisive element in the genesis of the SEASIDE RESORT of Wimereux (currently classified Remarkable Heritage Site). An independent urbanization of Wimille was created, with its city center, around its CHURCH (currently closed due to restoration). In Wimereux, the viaduct opens the way! The viaduct, built between 1859 and 1863 by engineer Théophile Dobelle on the territory of Wimille, spans the course of the «Wimereux» which gives its name to the hamlet which became an independent town in 1899\. 1862: the decree ordering the extension of the railway line from Boulogne to Calais has just been published opening access to the coastline and to the beautiful era of sea baths.
