Come stroll around and discover the Luxembourg Park, founded in the fourteenth century by the lords of Ligny-en-Barrois.

With an area of 8 hectares, 5.5 of which are green spaces classified as historical monuments since 1932, the park is bordered by the Ornain where, according to legend, the fairy Mélusine comes to bathe.

The park was created in the 15th century. Purchased by the city in 1794, it became a pleasure garden during the 19th century. Part of the park borders the river Ornain and has just been restored, it promises beautiful walks by the water. In the other part is a commemorative altar of Gaston Broquet, dedicated to the dead lineans during the First World War, as well as two beautiful statues, allegories of Anthropology and Chemistry, coming from the Trocadéro in Paris.
