About the location

Chapelle de la Hayotte
Grand rue, 54 800 Friauville
  • Meurthe-et-Moselle
  • Grand Est
The chapel built at the end of the 19th century was designed to protect crops from hail. Inside there is a statue of the Virgin and Child dating from the 15th century. After the Great War, a German cemetery was erected nearby, but it was moved a few years later on the commune of Viéville-sous-la-Côte.
In the past, every year on August 15 there was a procession from the centre of the village to the chapel where a mass was celebrated.
