Ninety years ago, a large industrial complex named «Bataville» settled in Moselle on the bench of the communes of Réchicourt-le-Château, Moussey and Maizière-les-Vic, the starting point of the manufacture of Bata shoes in Moselle. This great industrial adventure will last 70 years, lasting the landscape and the spirits.

The centre of the industrial and technical archives of the Moselle keeps(preserves) and emphasises the industrial memory of the department. He(It) keeps(preserves) the archives of the Coal mines of the pond of Lorraine, but also the archives of glass factories(glass-making), the chamber of commerce, or else Bata, between others.
